Welcome to SF State CTC Accreditation

Preparing educators for public school service is among the most important work of the Graduate College of Education at San Francisco State University.  SF State credential programs are accredited by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC), the agency that is responsible to the citizens of California for assuring that educator preparation programs such as ours meet standards for quality and effectiveness.

The accreditation process provides an opportunity to reflect on program quality, examine evidence of candidate success, strengthen partnerships, and ensure alignment with CTC standards and expectations. Through collaboration and data-informed practices, SFSU demonstrates its ongoing commitment to preparing credential candidates who are responsive, reflective, and prepared to lead in inclusive educational environments.
